Meet Our Summer Interns

Lucky Iron Fish welcomed two interns to the Fish Family this summer and we thought we should introduce them to you! Jamie is heading into her 4th year at the University of Toronto where she is pursuing a bachelor of commerce from Rotman, while Catherine joins us from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

What is your current role at LIF? 

Project Coordinator Intern

What’s the best part about working at Lucky Iron Fish?

Definitely the community. I feel like Lucky Iron Fish is my family!

What social impact issue means a lot to you?

Access to quality education.

What’s close to your heart? 

I love traveling and learning new languages. I’m happy that I get to practice my French and limited Spanish... and even do some guesswork in Swahili at my job. 

Fun fact!

My dog, Pumpkin, is the cutest dog ever (we can confirm this is true).

Marketing and Customer Support Intern 

What’s the best part about working at Lucky Iron Fish?

Definitely getting to work with such a diverse, talented and kind team. Each day is always a little different and always exciting. 

What social impact issue means a lot to you?

Climate action, gender equality, access to healthcare.

What’s close to your heart? 

Spending quality time with my family. My camera. Live concerts. Coffee. travelling. Coffee. Getting to spend time in nature. Coffee. 

Fun fact!

I’ve survived a spider bite from the Amazon, I can run a mile in seven minutes and eat a bag of skittles in less than one.
